South Kentucky RECC is proud to announce a significant milestone: its team worked more than 297,000 hours collectively over the past year without an accident resulting in a loss of work time. This achievement highlights the co-op’s ongoing commitment to the safety of its employees, membership and communities served.
Kevin Newton, South Kentucky RECC President and CEO, expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishment: “At South Kentucky RECC, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s the foundation for everything we do. One year with no lost time accidents reflects our team’s commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for all.”
Lost time accidents are incidents that result in an employee missing scheduled work due to injury. Achieving a year without such incidents demonstrates effective safety measures, comprehensive training programs, and a strong safety culture.
“This accomplishment goes beyond just numbers; it underscores our commitment to the well-being of our employees, members and the communities we serve. Reaching this milestone reflects our teams’ dedication to safety and the effectiveness of our safety standards and guidelines,” Newton added.
As the cooperative celebrates this significant milestone, it remains focused on continuous improvement and its commitment to safety. South Kentucky RECC extends its gratitude to all employees for their dedication and to its members and the communities served for their continued support.
