Economic Growth in McCreary County

As part of our commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity in the communities we serve, South Kentucky RECC recently extended a zero-interest economic development loan to Stephens Hardwood, LLC under our Revolving Loan Fund program. This not only exemplifies the cooperative's dedication to supporting local businesses but also demonstrates our commitment to promoting economic growth and community development.

The zero-interest loan offered by SKRECC will assist with a building expansion along with the purchase of new equipment to process white oak staves and heads to be used by a Kentucky based cooperage in making bourbon barrels.  The additional space and equipment will stimulate job creation, boost the local economy, and strengthen the overall business landscape of McCreary County.
