Alan Coffey Receives Key Accounts Certification

Alan Coffey

South Kentucky RECC is proud to recognize Energy Services Manager Alan Coffey for achieving national certification as a Certified Key Accounts Executive (CKAE) through a program offered by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Coffey successfully completed the rigorous requirements for the CKAE designation, including coursework, an exam, and submission of detailed business and marketing plans. These plans were evaluated by an external business professional for their content and strategic approach.

Since its inception in 1998, the CKAE program has certified over 600 rural electric marketing professionals. The program is voluntary and designed to enhance service to commercial and industrial accounts.

Kevin Newton, President and CEO of South Kentucky RECC, commended Coffey for his accomplishment: "Alan’s dedication to professional growth and his commitment to excellence reflect the values we uphold at South Kentucky RECC. This certification is a testament to his hard work and his focus on delivering outstanding service to our commercial and industrial members."

Newton also emphasized the program's purpose of strengthening service through goal setting, key account profiling, professional sales management, and sound decision-making.

South Kentucky RECC remains committed to the professional growth of its team members, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to deliver outstanding service and value to cooperative members.

NRECA is the national service organization for more than 900 rural electric utilities that provide electricity to approximately 42 million consumers in 47 states and sell approximately twelve percent of all electric energy sold in the United States. Most NRECA members are consumer-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperatives.
