||Tommy Nelson Jr. is a Wayne county native for fifty four years and a
graduate of Wayne County High School. He worked with Cooperatives in
seven States. For twenty two years he worked directly with members,
staff and their Board of Directors, also helping them with Market
Development. He has been employed by a local Banking Institution for
the last fourteen years. He served on the Board of Directors of the
Kentucky Center for Cooperative Development.

||Tommy Nelson Jr. is a 1975 graduate of Wayne County High School. He attended Florida College in Tampa, Florida for three years. He worked for Cumberland Farm Products, a Farmers Produce Cooperative for seventeen years. He was also employed by Horticulture Producers Federation, a Marketing Cooperative for five years. He has worked the last fourteen years for a local Bank. Tommy's experience of working with Cooperatives will be helpful if given the opportunity to serve on the Board of South Kentucky RECC. He has been involved from the formation to the management of a Cooperative. He understands that a Cooperative is owned by the membership and that all decisions must be made for the benefit of all members. Tommy also realizes that a Cooperative is a business and must be operated as such. He understands there are challenges that the Cooperative will face in the future and that good leadership will be needed to lead a multi-million dollar organization. The challenges will affect the membership, management and employees. The decisions must be made with all in mind. His experience of serving on the Board of Kentucky Center for Cooperative Development is a valuable asset that will help him in serving on the Board of South Kentucky RECC. He has worked with Boards that makes decisions that affect the membership. Tommy feels that he is qualified and willing to work with other Board Members and help them meet the challenges that South Kentucky RECC will face in the future. His twenty two years of experience of working with Cooperatives and their Boards will be a valuable asset. He has served on a board which works with Cooperatives. He wants to serve the membership of South Kentucky RECC.
